19:52 BCCC ORGANIZES THE SEMINAR "INNOVATION & TECHNOLOGY IN THE EMERGING GLOBAL WORLD" ON SEPTEMBER 14TH 2011
The Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce - BCCC together with the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, are pleased to announce that they will be hosting a Breakfast Seminar "Innovation & Technology in the Emerging Global World" on Wednesday, September 14th, 2011 from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
The President of the Brazil Canada Chamber of Commerce, Raul Papaleo, will deliver the welcome greetings and the DFAIT Director Innovation, Science and Technology Division, Kevin Fitzgibbons, will introduce the opening remarks.
The event will consist of four presentations: the first one by Paul Day, VP Information & Communications Technology, Life Sciences & Light Manufacturing Group, Export Development Canada; "Strategies for Securing your Intellectual Property in Canada and Brazil" by Marcelo Sarkis, Canada & United States of America, Heenan Blaikie LLP; "Canada-Brazil Bilateral Industrial R&D Funding Program" by Bharat Rudra, Country Manager for Brazil and India - ISTP Canada; "ITC - Information, Technology and Communication: Business Opportunities in Canada-Brazil Partnership" by Ethienni Martin, Executive Director, NUMEN IT; and Raul Papaleo, President, Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce, delivers the closing remarks.
This seminar on emerging opportunities in Brazil and in Canada will further explore the role of innovation and technology and provide thoughts from Government, innovators companies and industry in both countries.
