Ms. De la Puente will be responsible for regional business development and deal execution and based in Lima, Peru.
María Alejandra has over 20 years of experience in investment/corporate banking, capital markets, strategic planning and investor relations. Prior to joining EMx, María Alejandra was a strategic corporate finance advisor to Maple Resources Dallas in the acquisition of the oil & gas assets of Maple Gas Peru. María Alejandra was previously an investment banker in Peru and Canada within global financial institutions such as Citibank, Sudameris Banca Commerciale Italiana, Roche Securities Limited, KPMG LLP, RBC Royal Bank of Canada, and ATB Financial. María Alejandra returned to Peru in 2008 as a senior energy industry corporate finance manager at SN Power and Transportadora de Gas del Perú, and was instrumental in the creation and management of the investor relations unit at Alicorp, the largest Peruvian food and consumer goods company. María Alejandra has extensive experience in business development, financial structuring, corporate underwriting of public and private debt and equity, M&A, capital raising, long-term debt financings, project finance, asset management, corporate restructurings and investor relations.
