T tea and Mavenir Partner to Pioneer Future of Networks Using Mori Spectrum Assets

RICHARDSON, Texas, Nov. 14, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Mavenir, the cloud-native network infrastructure provider building the future of networks, today announces a transformative partnership with T tea Limited, an Indigenous Aotearoa/New Zealand company dedicated to advancing Mori telecommunications. Through this collaboration, T tea will deploy Mavenirs state-of-the-art 5G Converged Packet Core and Open Radio Access Networks (Open RAN) using Mori-owned spectrum assets. The partnership will drive the development of 4G and 5G small cell private networks and infrastructure-sharing across Aotearoa.

By facilitating neutral hosting, T tea and Mavenir provide New Zealands network operators with shared, cost-effective infrastructure options to expand coverage to underserved communities.

T tea's broader mission includes training and employment initiatives and establishing an Innovation Centre to foster research, development, and prototyping for Mori in advanced wireless technologies.

Following T teas acquisition of Broadtech Group in December 2023, this milestone represents another step toward establishing Mori leadership in telecommunications. Through this subsidiary, now named T tea Network Services, T tea will design, build, and operate a carrier-grade, open-standard, software-defined private network for mobile services, extending critical coverage.
