BCCC organizes the seminar "Facilitating The Trading, Logistics, Taxation and beyond between Brazil and Canada" on November 2nd
The Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce - BCCC together with Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada - DFAIT, are pleased to announce that they will be hosting the event "Facilitating the Trading, Logistics, Taxation and beyond between Brazil and Canada" on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2011 from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
The central theme of this breakfast seminar will be promoting awareness of the existing opportunities in the trading and logistics sector in Brazil and Canada. It will cover the different aspects such as legal, tax and regulations, of the requirements and challenges for importing and exporting and try to establish a common exchange and cooperation platform for business executives and researchers in the logistics sector. Therefore, the event will provide a unique opportunity to exchange ideas, network and discuss them with the participants and speakers.
The Director of Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce and Foreign Legal Consultant for Heenan Blaikie, Frederico Marques will deliver the welcome greetings and introduce the opening remarks. The event will consist of five presentations: "Cornerstones of Customs and International Trade - What You Need to Know To Ensure Your Goods Move Across International Borders" by Joy Nott, President of IE Canada; "Trading and Shipping to Brazil: Tips for Getting Your Cargo to Brazil" by Arnon Melo, Managing Director of Mellohawk; "Covering your risks for importing from and/or exporting to Brazil" by Allard Westra, Vice President, Trade Finance, BMO Capital Markets; "Trade Considerations for Canadian Exporters" by Martha Harrison, Lawyer of Heenan Blaikie LLP and "Moving Lives", by Yannick De Mal, International Sales Executive from AMJ Campbell.
